I’m not a green thumb, but occasionally enjoy planting flowers and watching them cover the ground, then bloom into colorful beauty. I especially love the different plant textures, the various shades of green leaves, and the butterflies, birds, and bees that show up when the flowers begin to bloom.
The life that comes with planting flowers and the joy the beauty is inspirational. On any given evening, I can be found watering, weeding, or trimming bushes. There’s a spiritual connection that emanates from being a part of nature. Even more important for me is the opportunity to sit or walk around once they are in full bloom.
The simple pleasure of putting a few in a vase, or plucking a single one for my hair reminds me to enjoy the simple things in life and to encourage others to see it. We only get to live once, and we have to decide to make the only shot we get at it great!
